Javascore, version
5.1 (.04)
This is a "minor" bug-fix-only release.
It also fixes a few small bugs, including desktop shortcut for windows,
the TLE label in reports, the race-by-race points in subdivision scoring
reports, and name swapping in the Entry crew/skipper names panel.
This release requires use of Java version 5. If you don't have Java 5
yet, click on the "get Java" logo on the left for Windows and Linux.
For Macintoshes go to:
http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/java/.
Install the new Java first - THEN run the new version 5.1 Javascore installer.
NOTE: the installer program has been modified, for ALL users (Windows, Mac,
Linux) you now execute (double-click) "JavascoreInstall_v51_04.jar".
And THEN to run javascore after installing it... double click on "JavaScore.jar"
file in the installation directory or (WINDOWS only) click on the shortcut on
your desktop (if you asked for it during the install). The shortcut
installation may not work on Linux and almost certainly does not work on Mac.
Sill working on that.
NOTE: Mac users, the above has been tested successfully on a Mac, but I'm also working on getting a
Mac-specific installation bundle that will better tie in executing Javascore
with Mac OS.
NOTE: Mac users, for now you have set Javascore up to use the "internal
browser" (see File | Preferences).
Download bundles:
JavascoreInstall_v51_04.jar
Install directions: Download the installer
file, then make sure you have a JRE installed. Then
run the Javascore installer by double-click on the file. Follow the prompts, and hopefully life
will be grand.
