Isabel - Wednesday 1800

Wednesday evening, the proverbial calm before the storm.  A gorgeous evening clear, calm, nice temperature.  The town is a buzz as folks finish storm preparations.  We are expecting anything from just a snarly day to 60-70 knots and a storm surge of nothing to 5-8 feet above normal (could be record high tides).

No one currently really knows how hard it will blow, and more scary quite from what direction.  Northeast is the worst for EYC.

Looking NW from the second deck at EYC.  Hope I can still take these picture afterwards Looking North-ish from the deck Looking east, northeast.  This is where the early winds will come from.   If the winds stay there life could get really really ugly.

Road Trip snuggled into her "storm slip" (borrowed from Water Hazard who's ashore).  Mark is still futzing with her lines. SSA from the NW corner of EYC's marina docks.  Looks peaceful and dry at the moment.
